It is better time to give.

It is hard in these times to see youth connected to the heart of God. This past weeks we visited the landfill located in the border with Mexico, we took food, water, toiletries and clothes. This young boy saw a child without shoes and without anyone telling him anything, he took off his shoes and gave them to this child. I approached him and I said well done, he said " Today is my birthday but I know it is always better to give than to receive". There are times that we think too much about what we want and about what we need that we forget that there are people out there that must be helped and that I can become the hands and feet of Jesus. a mission trip can make a difference and it is you you gets the best blessing.

I would like for everyone to have this mentality and I can assure you we would live in a better community, state, country, and world.

I challenge you to go in to the world and experience the power of God.

I Love Summer Time

Hello Everybody:

We are in the middle of summer and we have been very busy doing God's work. In the past 5 weeks our church had 4 main events (VBS, Youth Camp, Camp day and a mission trip to Miguel Aleman). What makes all we do meaningful is to serve the Lord our God and to see children, youth, and adults smiling and being thankful to the Lord for His Word and for the fellowship we have.
I love summer time because we get to share about God's love to many people. I love summer because I saw in Youth Camp how wonderful is when youth seek the Lord and I know tough times may come for them but I know that the Lord has them by the hand and will keep them from falling. This summer let His Love shine in your life, get back to Him.

I love summer because it reminds me that my Jesus is not a religion but a real person who seeks to abide in us. Anyone can do religion, have you noticed? Look around you How many people you know that go to church to get a feeling of accomplishment? but in real life their religion has no impact in their daily life, no impact in the way they think, in the way they speak and in the way they behave. But I have found that relationship with the living God, the God of the Bible, Jesus Christ my Savior is the greatest thing that has ever happen to me and since I stopped fooling around and surrender my life to Him, WOW I know that I can not live without His presence in my life.

I love summer because I get to be His Hands And Feet, which by the way that is the mission and purpose of FBC San Isidro.

May His Love Fill your life,

Ricardo Brambila.

The call

God is doing something amazing in San Isidro. God has called four people to go to Puebla to minister and to evangelize. Six people gave their lives to Christ, the number may sound little but in a city that is 100% against Evangelicals that is one amazing number for 9 days of work. I am praying for God's movement upon the church. I am going to share a challenge I will bring to the church this Sunday. Its is called JUST ONE. I will share more details next time. I am praying the Lord may guide us to be light and salt of the world.

I have a question I hope someone answers, Do you think we are living in the end times?

In difficulties He is Glorified.

When we face difficulties while we try to attempt something for His Kingdom. We think that all will come as we planned and we leave no room for change, there I would say is when God allows us to face difficulties to show and prove He is in control and that His plan is always better.

On Sunday Morning March 16th 2008 We face a lot of difficulties. We had prepared video, PowerPoint slides, special songs, a lot of multimedia involved to better project the most important message HIS WORD, but for our surprise there was no electricity here in San Isidro. What could you do or say when you have around 200 people for worship and you find that there is no electricity to do what we had planned. I can share that I was not taught what to do Sunday morning when there is no light (should be included in the minister's manual).

God used all of His church family to work together and none panicked but came together and brought generators so we could heat up the meal and the inflatables. I was able to see that His plans are better than mine. The Lord spoke to my heart and said "What is it that you need the most music, multimedia, bulletins or my presence and my spoken word?". Then it hit me that the songs, videos and slides can never compare the need of HIS PRESENCE AND SPOKEN WORD and the rest is not indispensable.

I learned that when things do not go my way, my duty is not to question the Master but to let Him lead the way, that His ways are better than mine.

My challenge today for you is that every time you face difficulties remember Jesus is on the Throne and He is the same Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.

Isaiah 55:8-11 NLT

8 “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.9 For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts. 10 “The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry.11 It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.

Thank you Lord

I am so grateful to the my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for giving me the opportunity to be part for His work. I believe that he could do better without me but still He chose me. I want to thank Him for being good to me and my family.

I have been amazed to see God's work in His church and in His people. Every activity we do we see people coming to Christ. I want to challenge you to look around and see that there are people hungry for God's word, desperate for His unconditional love, let His Holy Spirit guide you in a conversation, in the they way you live, may others see Christ in you. I am convinced that God is willing to use not the capable or the able but those that are willing to be used by Him. I want to share this scripture with you that has brought to my life, hope, peace and love in the time of need.

Ephesians 3:14-21 " 14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height-- 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. 20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Planning.

When a new year comes I try to plan for the new things that I know I must do. I try to learn from my mistakes and to change what I did wrong. But must important I remember that God in the Book of Jeremiah He tells His children that He has plans for them and plans to give us hope and future. The fact that Jesus is thinking of me and that He has good plans for me and my family it makes me feel so loved and protected by my Father.

What can I plan? Do you think my plans are better than His? I do not think so. His plans are always better. Do not get me wrong sometimes my loving Father just makes no sense at all in my poor short sighted perspective. But that's why He says I have plans for you His plans not my plans. If you want to make God laugh tell Him your plans, He won't laugh at you but with you.

Am I saying I should not plan at all? No, we should plan to stay as close as possible to His Heart then He will give us wisdom and skills to guide your heart in our decision making.

I had been praying for a church van for the 5 years. In His love and Grace God touched the lives of the Grinnel family and on Sunday December 23rd 2007. Bro. Steve and Sally approached me and said we have something for the church as I stepped out they say there you have it a brand new van. I could not believe my eyes, I was petrified, I was speechless. Sometime ago I thought it is going to take a lot to buy a van for our church because we are in a Building Campaign, I almost gave up but Jesus never gave up on me. Jesus taught me to always believe and to expect the unexpected even when all seems to go the other way. Thank God for Christians like Steve and Sally who heard that Lord speak and out of gratitude gave us a tremendous gift.

I thank God for taking care of me and my family this past year, I know that My Savior Lives.
I pray that 2008 will hold many blessings for all of you.

On Mission

We just came back from a wonderful time with our brothers and sisters from Cedar Crest Church From Atlanta. We partner to benefit the lives of 200 children who most of them live at a landfill. Everything was worth it for the Glory of God.
I saw our Lord working through His sons and daughters. I am very thankful to our Lord and bothers and sisters working together for His Kingdom, I know that without all of you who took the time to serve God could not be possible.

I know with our eyes of faith saw God smile when these boys and girls received their new shoes and socks. We washed their feet and some were amazed to see a stranger washing their dusty little feet. We wanted to touch their lives with the God's love pray for these children that they may be filled with hope, peace and love this Christmas. Pray for these children they need an opportunity to excel, the cycle of poverty can not be broken unless there is an intentional strategy to educate, motivate and empower these children in the name of Jesus Christ. The love of God can be preached and taught from the pulpit and from Sunday School classes but if nothing is being done in a tangible way, our faith is not connected to works and that makes our faith dead. I encourage you to be ON MISSION, there is someone around you who God wants to touch with His love and Grace heed the call to serve and do good in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

In His Holy Name,

Pastor Ricardo Brambila
